I want my pictures by a certain date, when should I schedule my session?
It's important to schedule in advance so you are sure to have your pictures back in time for that special date. I suggest booking at least a month in advance.
Do I need to come up with poses for the shoot?
No. Photographer Abigail Marie has worked with clients of every age, shape and size, and know how to pose, use angles and light, and how to make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. She will ensure that you look your best!
Can I purchase all of the pictures taken during my shoot?
The short answer: No
There are hundreds of pictures taken during the shoot, and it is expected that the majority will end up on the cutting room floor for various reasons. Some will simply be test shots before exposure and other settings are ideal. Others will be shots leading up to the perfect moment when you as the model are in perfect position. And many others will simply not be ideal shots for whatever reason. This happens with every photo shoot no matter who the photographer is or who the model is – professional or everyday person like you.
Only the very best images will be selected for proofing, and this is where you must put your trust in your photographer. It is an option to purchase all of the proofs shown in your gallery.
What if I want beautiful pictures of myself but don't really want to do boudoir?
Not a problem. We are not limited to photographing boudoir. We can style a shoot around your needs. Everything from fashion and beauty to fitness and dance is possible.
I'd love to do a boudoir session with my significant other - do you offer this?
Yes. There is an additional fee of $25 to add your partner to your boudoir session. During a couples session, images may be taken together and also as individuals.
Where can I find some ideas for outfits?
Check out our Boudoir Ideas board on our Pinterest page, or view the pictures here in the boudoir gallery where you can find many ideas for different poses, outfits, looks and more. During your shoot we will coach you, so do not worry if you have never posed in front of a camera before. The key to a great shoot is to RELAX and trust your photographer.
Who will be at the shoot? Could I bring a friend?
The only person present will be the photographer. We recommend you come alone for the best experience, as the best photos come from this one-on-one interaction between you and the photographer. However if you have a friend who is also interested in the boudoir experience, you are free to bring her/him along.
I'm a man interested in a boudoir session, is this something you do?
Absolutely! We believe everyone, including men, deserves beautiful boudoir photos. Check out our Pinterest board for ideas on what to wear to a Men's Boudoir Session.
I'm a curvy girl, is that an issue?
Absolutely not! In fact, we love curvy girls. It is not about size, it is about who you are and the confidence you bring to the shoot. Curves are beautiful and we love to celebrate them.
I'm an older woman, is this an issue?
Of course not! We welcome women and men of all ages to come enjoy the experience of celebrating YOU. We have lots of experience with women/men of all ages – so don’t feel discouraged by age. It is all about confidence and being yourself.
Will my photos be airbrushed?
During the shoot we will coach you and help you pose in your most flattering positions. We use many techniques to make you look your absolute best. Afterward in the editing process we airbrush out minor flaws and touch up while keeping images natural and true to who you are. We want photos to reflect you at your very best.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the custom nature of photography, the session price and any products ordered are non-refundable. You have final say on the retouching and any custom album design and nothing goes to print without your approval.
Where do the shoots take place?
In Charleston, shoots are done (by appointment only) at my studio in West Ashley - 811 Savannah Hwy, suite 1. It is possible to have the shoot on-location (at a hotel, beach, etc...) in other cities I shoot in a hotel suite. Exact location will be confirmed and sent to you prior to your shoot.
I don't see many nude photos on your website. I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but do you offer that type of photography?
Yes, I do offer nude and semi nude options during sessions. Whatever is in your comfort level is fine with me!
Do you offer boudoir parties or bridesmaids-type parties?
I offer mini-sessions just for this type of group! It's a great way to bond. Some girls like to have a boudoir party and then have the bachelorette party that night while they're all glammed up with professionally done makeup and hair! This is available to groups of 4 or more.

Since I usually tip my hair stylist and other service professionals - do I tip my boudoir photographer?
Tips are accepted and appreciated. It's a great way to let your photographer know that you had a great experience. Of course the best tip you can give is a referral. Tell your friends about your uplifting boudoir experience, maybe share a picture or two.
I am naturally shy - could I bring an adult beverage to the shoot to help me relax?
