I was honored to capture such a beautiful day for beautiful people. :)

India is indeed incredible. Being there inspired me in brand new ways. I took thousands of pictures and am currently working on a book.
The time has finally come!
I'll be spending the month of March traveling across incredible India!
I won't be able to make phonecalls or texts and won't have much access to email. So if you wish to book a photo-shoot or simply have questions about my services, please hold tight until April 1st! I will respond to all messages as quickly as possible after that date.
There is strength and beauty floating in the air. Literally.
After only a month of training Graham Ervin makes the challenging art of aerial silks look effortless. The incredible founders Jordan Anderson and Clayton Woodson make the impossible possible with circus arts at Aerial Fit. They offer a variety of classes including aerial yoga, aerial silks, aerial hoop and static trapez.
I know that I am certainly inspired.
These photos were taken at the Circus Building. Check out www.aerialfit.com for more information on Aerial Fit classes.
Botany Bay Plantation is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit.
I've decided this year to commit to creating one self-portrait (photo) a month. Got to keep the creative juices flowing by experimenting with some ideas. Just. For. Fun. Often I am my own best model...so here goes.
I love when clients approach me to create images for a modeling/fitness portfolio. It's fun to shoot a whole variety of looks. Austin was a great model. I gave him lots of tips during the shoot and he responded really well. I hope these pictures help him book many modeling gigs.
I love the holidays... festive parties, gatherings of friends and family, pumpkin spice and twinkle lights. It is a time when generosity and kindness are celebrated. I love giving gifts to family, friends and strangers-in-need. I often find myself gifting framed pictures or portrait sessions... not out of a loathing for holiday-shopping crowds (although that is true) or as a cop-out, but because great pictures are something to cherish and they last forever.
I had a great time this past Saturday at my pet-friendly holiday portrait session during Avondale Winterfest. I am super thankful that despite the heavy rain, a few wonderful clients and friends did come out to see me. We enjoyed some mulled wine, cookies and fun photos and even raised a little money for I <3 Hungry Kids.
Just looking over some old behind-the-scenes videos from past fashion shoots for Oblique Magazine...and now I am feeling inspired!
My friend John Barnhardt is busy traveling the world, but when he returns perhaps we shall create something new. :)
.
I will never stop creating self-portraits.
Recently, I've filled a 100-something page sketchbook with daily self-portrait drawings. The time spent drawing each day came to be a meditative release for my mind. I wonder if I'd have the energy to photograph a daily self-portrait? Or perhaps a weekly self-portrait?
This photo is a little something I shot during a drawing session. The light was beautiful and I wanted to remember it in a photo as well as the drawing.
Let's make it official. I've opened a studio in Charleston! The driving force behind this is my boudoir shoots. Just this year I've photographed over 60 women. I definitely needed a professional space to host these ladies.
Boudoir photo shoots are a chance to see yourself as the beautiful, sexy creature you are!
For those of you coming to my website via Living Social, I thought I'd provide a little more information here about what this Boudoir Shoot package includes.
CONSULTATION - This is a chance to meet in person before the shoot. I'll show you more examples of my boudoir work and we discuss ideas, outfits and schedule the date/time for the shoot.
MAKEUP AND HAIR STYLING - Choose your style: natural, glamour, edgy or pin-up.
3 OUTFIT CHANGES - Most ladies bring their own outfits but I also have some vintage outfits and accessories at the studio. Your choice of outfit is up to you and it should reflect your personality. Here are some ideas: Matching bra and panties (with garter belts and thigh highs, optional), corset and panties, chemise, teddy, man's shirt and tie, tank top and booty shorts, pin-up, leather and lace, costume, etc...
PRIVATE PROOF GALLERY - About 2 weeks after your shoot, you'll receive an email with a password and link to a private gallery where you can preview the best photos from your shoot (about 50 images). The images will not yet be retouched, you may choose the photos you want and then I will retouch with care!
3 RETOUCHED HIGH QUALITY DIGITAL IMAGES - Choose 3 images from the proof gallery to be retouched and placed on CD. You will receive a color version and a black & white version of each selected image (so you'll actually end up receiving at least 6 images). You are not limited to 3 images, you may order additional digital images (as many as you like) as well as an album, prints or other products.
ONE 4X6 PRINT - Pick your favorite retouched image to be printed!
All boudoir shoots occur at my studio in Avondale, West Ashley. The studio is located at 811 Savannah Hwy, which is next door to Lava Salon, across the street from Gerald's Tire. You may choose to have the shoot at the location of your choice for an additional fee, $25.
Extras:

Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot a fitness fashion spread for Oblique Magazine featuring a talented designer from Canada. I choose an apocalyptic theme for this spread... the fit shall survive!!
I've always loved dancing, not that I was much good at it but the passion was there and still is. After 4 years of Pole Dance Fitness classes, I've acquired some rhythm and skills. While I still dance to the beat of my own soul, I remember to point my toes (most of the time).
For the first time, I will be performing in front of a panel of judges at a regional competition. To be honest, I don't expect to win, that would be a shock to me. I strive to do my best and enjoy every second!
Of course I cannot love something so deeply and not photograph it... so here is a small series of pole-dancing self-portraits.
This shoot was especially fun because of its focus on the Avondale community. I borrowed some whimsical hats from designer Julia Pagan who recently opened her shop right in the heart of Avondale. My friend and model Lauren Lothery lives near the greenway, miles and miles of trail, winding its way through backyards, marsh, wood and farm. If you haven't heard of it, check it out... It starts at the Windemere Shopping Center.
Today marks the third time my boudoir photography package has appeared on Living Social. I'm super excited to meet lots of new pretty faces and make them shine on camera!
Thanks to me, my camera and my lovely clients, a few husbands will get an extra special Christmas gift this year...
The new November/December issue of Oblique Magazine has hit the stands. I'm thrilled because this issue features Pole Dance Fitness which I truly love. Not only did I shoot the fashion spread inspired by the art of pole dance but I appeared on the cover! My friend Gregg Lambton-Carr, a talented photographer himself, shot my cover photo.
