5 New Charleston Restaurants to Try Right Now
If you've ever been to Charleston and love food, you know this city is full of fabulous eateries. It seems as though there's always new restaurants popping up all over town! One of my fiance and I's favorite things is to try the new restaurants. The best way to do that is to get a group of friends together and restaurant hop. Charleston Transportation offers the perfect solution to get our group safely to multiple destinations in one night. Sure we could call a cab every time, but Charleston Transportation makes it so much easier, plus we can all ride together which makes the evening much more fun.
Here are some of our favorite new establishments to open recently in the area. Here you'll find a list of some of the newest businesses to open in Charleston. From wine bars to specialty seafood, anybody can get behind these five new options!
28 Broad St
This is a fitting spot to bring a date. It has a romantic atmosphere that is hard to deny, especially when the live piano player is in the house. You'll mostly find seafood dishes on the menu here, but there's also a good selection of steak and chicken dishes. If you do enjoy seafood, don't leave without trying the razor clams with parsnips and bacon, or the fresh wreckfish!

Come check out a new wine bar with amazing desserts! They have great cheese plates for pairing with their selection of wine. We love how their wine is laid out in a vending machine style, it's very unique. There are local beer options if you're not a huge fan of wine, so don't worry about being left out if you're coming here with friends! The staff is extremely friendly if you have questions about anything.
162 East Bay St
This self proclaimed modern Southern eatery is a part of Charleston's revival! The chefs here work with local farmers, and those fresh ingredients really shine through all of their dishes. Even their cocktails are thoughtfully executed! Be sure to try their popular pan seared grouper, New York strip steak, and their impressive macaroni and cheese that comes served in a fried cheese shell.
2070 Sam Rittenberg Blvd
This traditional American bar is located inside of the Citadel Mall. It's across from Planet Fitness! It was featured on Diner's, Drive-Ins and Dives, so you know the food is quality here. Mike's Famous Duck Club is present on most "Best Of" lists around Charleston, so it's a completely solid choice to start with. Plus, how can you go wrong with duck fat fries?

Seafood lovers will rejoice at the menu offered here at this lounge in the Radcliffborough
neighborhood. We love their inviting, contemporary atmosphere. Their happy hour deals run from Tuesday through Sunday, 4:30 to 6:30 PM. You'll get to enjoy $2 off all cocktails, $1 off beers, and $6 house wine. Even if you're not a huge fan of seafood, there are menu options that you will love eating.
